Today is an important day, World Mental Health Awareness Day. With such horrific news from around the world, online abuse, appearance pressures and insecurities about the future, it is no wonder that happiness is now at a record low particularly among girls and young women. Did you know that according to Girlguiding polling, only 17% of 7 to 21 year olds are very happy and 9 our of 10 feel worried or anxious? These are worrying numbers.
So what can be done?
